Dr. Megan Modersitzki Speirs
Dr. Megan Modersitzki Speirs was born and raised in the Texas panhandle, but spent summers visiting her grandparents in southeast Idaho. After graduating from high school, Dr. Speirs attended Brigham Young University in Provo, during which time she served a Spanish-speaking mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Portland, OR.
Dr. Speirs met her husband, an Idaho boy, at BYU, and attended dental school at the University of Utah School of Dentistry in Salt Lake City. Dr. Speirs’ first daughter was born during her third year of dental school, and she fought for a fair family leaves policy at the U, working closely with the administration to create the first official maternity leave policy at the school of dentistry.
Dr. Speirs was also awarded a humanitarian award for her service throughout her time in dental school. Dr. Speirs loves helping people feel confident in their smiles and practiced in Amarillo TX before making her way to Idaho Falls with her husband and two small daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys long-distance running, hiking, reading, and eating good food.
